Choosing a drywall contractor in Lawrence or Kansas City can be an expensive and confusing option if not done properly.
There are several factors to consider when choosing a drywall contractor. SCS is experience, reliable and affordable when it comes to drywall installation. We have outlined several factors to consider when choosing your next drywall contractor in Kansas City Lawrence and Topeka.

1. Make sure the contractor has workmens comp and liability insurance.

Always make sure your Kansas City contractor has the appropriate insurance and licenses when choosing a contractor. Here at SCS we have years of experience in drywall contracting and can offer you peace of mind when choosing your drywall contractor.

2. Get multiple quotes.

A good contractor will come and measure your house before supplying you with a quote. You can take this opportunity to ask them any questions you may have.

3. Check the phone book as well as online for contractor listings and read the reviews online about the contractor.

Online reviews and listings can be an excellent way to choose a drywall Kansas City contractor. There are many online resources including Google, Bing, Yelp, etc to help you choose the best Kansas City drywall contractor. However, do not rely on the online reviews alone, call a contractor that you may be interested in and check their customer service and references.

4. Don't always go with the lowest quote. Choose quality and reliability over price.

Price is one consideration but you should always choose quality over price from your Kansas City general contractors. Many of the lowest price contractors will not always offer the best service or final product.

5. Get references.

References are critical when choosing a new drywall contractor. It is very important to determine if your Lawrence or Kansas City drywall contractor has good references and is a reliable drywall contractor.

Kevin responded promptly to my calls and was on time for appointments. The work bid was reasonable and the work done was what I envisioned. I can confidently recommend he and his company to anyone wanting professionalism in each step of their project.
I made the initial contact with SCS and, when a death in the family necessitated my absence while the work was done, Kevin worked with my husband and then contacted me upon my return home to make sure the job was completed to my satisfaction. That flexibility and detailed follow-up was very much appreciated.

My brother's basement isn't finished and one of the things he needs done is the drywall put up. You advised reading online reviews about the contractor, and also calling the actual contractor and requesting references. If you did both of those things, I'm sure you would be able to get a fairly accurate idea of what kind of service they provide. My brother will definitely benefit from these great tips, thanks.

A friend of mine has been working on a remodeling project on his house, and he was thinking about hiring someone to help with the drywall. It makes sense that you would want to get a quote and ask the contractor questions in the process. It would be nice to make sure that everyone is on the same page before you start.

I think it is a smart idea to consider the entire quality of the service available instead of just the lowest price. My cousin is thinking about building his own home and wants to know a little bit more about the structural implications of using drywall. I'll have to remember your tips on hiring a contractor in the future.
