Contact Us! We can generally set up an appointment within a week! You will be greeted by a knowledgeable SCS representative who will arrange your free in-home consultation for your remodeling project. STEP 2 Our First Appointment, At your Home. The #1 priority of our first visit is to gain a full understanding of your needs for the space. How you will use your basement? How do you see it growing with you and your family into the future? Our representative will share our philosophy around how your basement should flow and our thoughts on basic basement design. We want the space to be an additional level of your home–not “just a finished basement.” If we seem like a good fit, then we’ll move to our initial measure/bid process! STEP 3 Measure/bid process, At your Home. If time allows, your SCS representative may measure your space during your first meeting. This measurement along with your ideas will give SCS the information to put together a basic estimate and timeline for your particular project. This estimate and timeline will be sent to you within a week of our first meeting. It’s meant to give you a starting point to work from. This estimate can go up or down depending on your choices and desires. STEP 4 Deciding if SCS is a match for you. If you feel that SCS is the company you want to work on your project, we will discuss in more detail the grade and type of materials as well as any changes you want from our first meeting. We will narrow down an exact bid and schedule to follow. This information will be put in a scope of work and sent to you so that we all are on the same page throughout the process. STEP 5 Construction Construction of your space will take between 7 and 16 weeks depending upon the scope and complexity of your space. You will receive a detailed construction calendar and weekly updates throughout the project. |
What to expect during construction:
You will have a project manager to address any questions during the entire project. Your project manager runs all aspects of construction. Closely teamed with our in house crews and our subs, the project manager will let you know exactly what will be happening at any given point. They will give you a weekly update and set up regularly scheduled meetings to check on critical details. Your upstairs will have minimal impact. We go through great lengths to ensure maximum dust protection and minimal disruption in your upstairs living area. Your project will start and finish on time…guaranteed! Our crews are the best in the business. They are courteous and respectful of you, your family, and your property. Daily job site clean-up. There is never a mess at the end of the day. With very few exceptions, there is significant work happening daily. You will truly be blown away when you go downstairs and see the work of that day. |
